INDEFINITE POSTAL STRIKE W.E.F. 5TH JULY 2011

Expanded CWC meeting of NAPE Group- C jointly with NUGDS WB Circle held on 18.06.11 at Student Hall (college Square) Kolkata. More than 250 members attended the meeting. Our General Secretary Sri D. Kisan Rao was also present in the meeting. Almost all the members present in the house took part in the discussion regarding the agenda of indefinite postal strike from 5th July 2011 and made their opinion that they are not willing to participate the said Strike with NFPE in the present Political Scenario when the leftist are washed out from India. The left unions are trying to disturb the Govt. by any means and that is why they called the strike immediately after declaring the election result. At the last Sri D. Kisan Rao General Secretary elaborately discussed the situation and the compulsion of the union to go to indefinite Strike. He also discussed the charter of demand and also he made it clear that if we do not go on Strike then the Department will not settle any legitimate claim and will do as per their suit will and Union will have no power to resist the order which is against the staff welfare. Sri Rao also mentioned that if the West Bengal Circle alone is not participating in the Strike then they will be isolated from the other part of India and also west Bengal will be liable for criticism of other Circle. He also mentioned that all other Circles have already gone ahead and they observed all three phrases’ programme as given by the JCA. He requested the house to keep the tempo of the Strike and leave it to the General Secretary for final decision. The next meeting between the Department and JCA leader will be held on 27.06.11. Meanwhile the IPO & ASPo`s Association express their moral support in writing. At the last Sri Rajat Subhra Das Circle Secretary NAPE Gr – C and Sri D. Kisan Rao General Secretary requested the house to go on random publicity and display the FNPO poster in favour of Strike.
