Letter of authorization for New member.

Dear Colleague,
Of late Divisional Secretary AIPEU submitted revised letter of authorization in the proforma which is prescribed for only the verification purpose in most of the Division and also the same has been submitted to the Divisional Head instead of D.D.O. as required vide Director of Posts letter No 13-1/2002-SR dt 24.03.2003 communicated vide CO letter U&A/Rlg/Pt-II/Corr. Ch-V dated at Kolkata 700012 the 11.04.2003. On that date the proforma of Letter of Authorization i.e. without any signature of Director (SR) is still in force unless and until the said order is revised. So the old form should be used in the event of Switch over to another union and enrollment of new member. The matter has already been taken up with the Circle office by Agenda.
In this connection all the Divisional Secretaries are requested to take up the matter with the Divisional Head for cancellation of the letter of authorization so submitted by AIPEU to the Divisional Head and a copy endorsed to the circle Secretary at the earliest.

Secondly, all of you are known that some amendments of our union Constitution was made in the last AIC at Siliguri one of which is enhancement of Union Subscription from Rs 20/- to 30/-. The approval from the Directorate will come shortly and meanwhile Divisional Secretaries are requested to write to the Divisional Head requesting to instruct all the D.D.O`s under his control to deduct the union subscription @ Rs 30/- instead of Rs 20/- from the salary of May `11.
